Now in its sixth year of operation, the West Lethbridge Farmersı Market, (not-for-profit market) will be moving to a larger location to allow for more vendors and visitors over the summer months.
³We began as a fun little community event, and soon realized that we were serving a real need to residents of the cityıs west side,² says market founder Jean Greer McCarthy. ³The locals really love and value this market, and we were bursting at the seams so clearly there was a need to change the venue.²
Beginning July 8th, the market will operate from the parking lot of the Westside Community Church at 480 McMaster Blvd West. Pastor Shaun Romano will be coordinating the event and looks forward to welcoming new vendors to the expanded market.
The outdoor market will continue to run on Thursday afternoons in July and August, as it has done in past years.
